AI asset summaries FAQs

This article answers common questions about AI asset summaries.

Can I manually edit a summary?

No. AI-generated summaries cannot be manually edited. Select Regenerate in the summary drawer to generate a new version. Each refresh counts as one against your instance quota.

Can I delete a summary?

No. Individual summaries cannot be deleted. To stop new summaries from being generated, disable the feature through Admin > System configuration > System defaults > AI Asset Summaries. Existing summaries remain in the system and will reappear if the feature is re-enabled.

Why did my quota decrease by more than 1 after generating a Blueprint summary?

Generating a Blueprint summary automatically generates summaries for all nodes within that Blueprint. Node summaries are grouped into batches for efficiency. The total decrease reflects the Blueprint summary plus batched summaries of nodes.

Why can't I generate a summary for my asset?

Assets must meet a minimum requirement before a summary can be generated. If your asset does not qualify, an explanatory message appears when you attempt to generate a summary. See About AI asset summaries for minimum requirements by asset type.

Can I increase the size of my summaries?

Summaries are limited to 150 words. Large or complex assets may produce higher-level summaries with less specific detail. You can select Regenerate to generate a new version.

If the asset exceeds the maximum size limit for its type, summaries are not available.

My asset has changed — why hasn't the summary updated?

Summaries are not updated automatically when an asset changes. After you save changes to an asset, a caution indicator appears in the summary drawer. Select Regenerate to generate a new summary.

See Generate and manage AI asset summaries for refresh instructions.

Why don't my Blueprint node summaries update when I make changes?

Node summaries cannot be refreshed individually. To update node summaries, refresh the Blueprint summary — this automatically regenerates all node summaries within that Blueprint.

Can I generate or refresh summaries in bulk?

No. Bulk generation and bulk refresh are not supported. Each summary must be generated or refreshed individually.

When does the summary quota reset?

The quota resets on the first day of each calendar month. Each Accelerator instance has a shared quota of 1,000 generations across all users and asset types.

A countdown of remaining summaries is visible in the summary drawer. If your instance reaches the limit, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).

What happens to my summaries if I disable the feature?

Disabling AI asset summaries prevents new summaries from being generated. Existing summaries remain in the system. Disabling the feature may also affect future capabilities that depend on summary data, such as semantic search.
