Global search

Global search is a centralized navigation tool designed to help you locate assets and documentation across the MessageGears platform from a single interface.

By centralizing search functionality, you can find what you need without manually navigating through individual modules like Campaigns or Blueprints.

You can launch the Global search interface at any time using one of two methods:

  1. Press Command+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the search bar instantly from any page.
  2. Navigation Panel: Click the Search icon located in the left-hand sidebar.

Searching across assets​

When you enter a keyword (e.g., "Summer"), Global search scans all major asset categories simultaneously. Results are grouped by type to help you identify the correct resource quickly.

Asset metadata​

To help you distinguish between similar results, each entry displays additional context, such as channel (e.g., Email, SMS, Push, etc.) and audience count.

Searching asset IDs​

Users can search for a specific asset ID by entering just the asset ID number (e.g. 135) in the search bar. When numbers are entered, the associated asset ID numbers will appear in parenthesis next to the asset names in the search results.

Note: only enter the asset ID number in the search bar. Additional text will adjust the results to standard text-based search

Using action commands​

Action (slash) commands allow you to perform quick actions or navigate to external resources directly from the search bar.
