📄️ Email Authentication and DMARC
Email Authentication is the process used by mailbox providers to verify an email is being sent legitimately by the domain used in the From Address. The receiving provider inspects the domain's DNS records for specific entries that indicate the mail is properly authenticated, which helps to prevent phishing and other malicious emails from reaching their users.
📄️ Email Delivery Rate Throttling
MessageGears allows you to control the rate at which your email is sent. This can be a general setting across all email domains, or can be domain specific (gmail.com, hotmail.com, etc). Throttle limits are account-specific and apply to all traffic sent through the specified account. Since each customer may have multiple accounts, you can decide which of your email jobs go out through a throttled account.
📄️ Understanding Bounces
Bounces, or mail delivery failures, can occur for a multitude of reasons, and understanding whether or not a bounce was preventable can provide insight into improving your overall email deliverability. This guide will help illustrate how bounce responses are relayed from receivers and how MessageGears helps classify those bounces for further processing.
📄️ Bounce Management and Suppression
When mail is rejected by the receiving server, or bounced, it may indicate a temporary issue or something more permanent. Continuing to mail recipients who consistently bounce can cause issues with deliverability to recipient inboxes, a drop in sender reputation, and even blocklistings. To avoid these potential negative outcomes, we recommend customers implement automatic suppression rules to ensure recipients that repeatedly bounce are removed from the regular sending rotation.
📄️ Non-human interactions (bot clicks)
Non-human interactions (NHIs), often referred to as “bot clicks” or automated clicks, occur when an entity (typically an anti-spam or anti-malware filter) follows one or more links in a message to determine their safety or trustworthiness. This triggers a click to be recorded in the sender’s metrics, even though the recipient themselves never clicked the link. Here are a few things we know about NHIs and recommendations on how to address them.

📄️ Open-tracking consent
Suppress the open-tracking pixel for individual recipients who have declined open-tracking consent (CNIL / Garante), using the reserved TrackingConsent recipient field.
📄️ Adding and Managing Sending Profiles
Sending Profiles allow you to set consistent, reusable Header Field parameters which can be used in multiple templates and campaigns. There are a number of Header Fields specific to message delivery. Sending Profiles allow you to define sets of the following values needed to send from Accelerator:
📄️ Reply Mail Management
Reply Mail Management gives Accelerator the ability to forward email replies to a specified inbox while tracking analytics and triggering actions in the Real-Time Data Feed. The setup for Reply Mail Management is simple, but it does require contacting support@messagegears.com.
